Legionella Risk

L8 compliant legionella risk assessments with water system schematics, temperature monitoring, and sampling records.

Overview

Legionnaires' disease is a serious, potentially fatal pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria in water systems. The L8 ACOP requires identification of legionella risks and implementation of control measures. This module manages legionella risk assessment, temperature monitoring, and sampling records.

Water system schematics document hot and cold water systems, identifying dead legs, rarely used outlets, and other risk factors. Risk assessment evaluates each system against known risk factors, determining required control measures.

Temperature monitoring schedules ensure hot water remains above 60°C and cold water below 20°C at designated sentinel outlets. Sampling schedules track microbiological testing, with alerts if Legionella is detected requiring immediate action.
